Uilenstede Campus is a student area on the outskirts of Amsterdam, in the municipality of Amstelveen. There are no less than 3400 students ́ residences. You can rent both non-self-contained student rooms and self-contained students ́ residences. The campus has many amenities, such as a large café, supermarket, snack bar, textbook shop, bicycle maker, sports centre and theatre. Most amenities are on the cosy square. At Uilenstede you literally live in the centre of student life at the VU! As a nature enthusiast you will also have plenty to enjoy: In 5 minutes cycling you are in the Amsterdam Forest ((hidden website)), which is no less than three times the size of Central Park in New York and (inter-)nationally known for the rowing games held on the Bosbaan. It ́s an excellent place to relax or play sports in nature, and all kinds of events and festivals are organised. The Vrije Universiteit is nearby, just over 5 minutes by bicycle or in an equal time by metro or tram. By metro, tram or bicycle you can reach the heart of Amsterdam in twenty minutes...
