This is a furnished, temporary rental of our private family home in Essen-Heidhausen, available for one fixed stay of up to six months while we are on a professional sabbatical abroad. The house is modern (built in 2016), well maintained, and fully equipped for comfortable everyday living. Tenants will have use of two full floors plus the bedroom and bathroom on the middle floor. The living space available to tenants comprises approximately 125 m2, reflecting the parts of the house to which tenants have full access. The top floor offers a large open room that works well as a combined bedroom and home office and opens onto a spacious balcony with open views towards the adjacent meadow. The house comes fully furnished and includes a complete kitchen with all appliances, washing machine and dryer, and ample storage. There is also a dedicated outdoor dining area suitable for meals and relaxed time outside during the warmer months. Private parking on the premises is available for up to two cars, which is particularly convenient for tenants working in the wider Ruhr or Düsseldorf area. The property is located in Essen-Heidhausen, a quiet, green, and residential area popular with families and professionals. Daily shopping options, bakeries, and local services are nearby, and public transport provides good connections to Essen city centre as well as to Düsseldorf. The surrounding area offers easy access to nature, walking trails, and recreational areas. This home is not intended for short-term stays, tourism, parties, or subletting. We are looking for responsible tenants who are relocating temporarily to the region — for example professionals, academics, researchers, or families on a fixed-term assignment — and who will treat the house with care as a lived-in home rather than a rental investment property. Registration (Anmeldung) at the address is possible and a standard German fixed-term rental agreement will be concluded for the duration of the stay. We are happy to answer questions and expect a short introduction from interested tenants describing their background, reason for stay, and intended length of stay...
