Description

Room: The room is 15 m2 and features a beautiful solid-wood herringbone floor, as well as two large, tall windows facing Lilienstraße. The bed, including mattress and slatted frame, can be optionally taken over. The entire flat is about 100 m2 and is located in a renovated historic building with high ceilings. There is a spacious kitchen with a dining table and an adjoining south-facing balcony. The balcony has another dining table and several plants. In summer, it’s a lovely spot to have breakfast or dinner. Location: Lilienstraße is a quiet street running parallel to Dresdner Straße, which takes you to Augustusplatz in about 8 minutes by bike. From the Köhlerstraße tram stop (a 2-minute walk), the tram lines 4 and 7 take you quickly to the city center. Right next to the stop is the large neighborhood Kaufland supermarket, which offers not only groceries but also a pharmacy, a drugstore, and everything else you might need for daily life. Döner places and cafés complement the area. From Lilienstraße, you can also reach the Lene-Voigt Park and Rabet Park quickly. In addition to Spätis and green spaces, you’ll find volleyball courts and table tennis there, which contribute to a great quality of life—especially in summer. Shared-flat life: Arnim is leaving us with a heavy heart because he’s moving in with his girlfriend. Johannes, Anna & Aarya will continue living in the flat. Johannes (27) is passionately working on a fantasy novel and supervises Carrera racetracks at city festivals and corporate events on the side. You can often find him in the kitchen cooking his specialty—blue cheese cream sauce with mushrooms—and he's always up for a coffee, even at 6 pm. Anna (25) works from home for an insurance company and, just like Johannes, loves playing volleyball. She originally comes from Ukraine and speaks German fluently. Still, we sometimes switch to English. No matter the language, she’s always up for a good laugh. Aarya (24) moved from Mumbai to Germany this September to study business in Chemnitz and commutes to Karl-Marx-Stadt three days a week. She often cooks with delicious spices and homemade naan. We do a lot together—game nights (cards/Settlers of Catan) or trips to the nearby beer garden “Substanz.” Especially in summer, we often play volleyball in the nearby parks. Of course, there’s also space to relax if you need some me-time. We also have a cleaning schedule that we all appreciate and follow well to keep the flat tidy. If we’ve sparked your interest, feel free to send us a message about yourself, and we’ll get back to you to arrange a personal meeting 😊...
