If the tenant is from a non-EU country, they must provide all the required documentation: a valid passport and residence permit. 3. It is a legal requirement in Italy to sign a simple medium-term rental contract between both parties. Therefore, the contract must be signed before the keys are handed over. A Codice Fiscale is required to sign the contract. 4. The electricity cost included in the rent is limited to 80 euros. Any excess consumption shall be paid by the tenant.
