There are a great number of stores, cafes, restaurants and bars within walking distance, and of course beautiful Viktoriapark next door, with its famous waterfall running down Kreuzberg – the “mountain” from which this part of the city takes its name. Marheineke Markthalle, the food market in Bergmannkiez, is also a source of endless culinary joy for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, and if you prefer fast food, you have both Mustafa’s Gemüsekebap serving Berlin’s best and most famous kebab, and Curry36 dishing out equally legendary currywursts, along with seemingly endless other options.
