Location and neighbourhood The apartment is located in Inselstrasse in Berlin-Mitte, the most central district of Berlin. The area is called “diplomat quartier“ because there are many embassies and the foreign office in the neighbourhood. The Nicolai quartier, the Humboldt Forum, the boulevard "Unter den Linden" and the famous "Museums' Island" are in 10 minutes walking distance. The area is calm, green and safe. Very close (200 m) is a park (Koellnischer Park) with a museum (Märkisches Museum) and the river Spree inviting to walks along the beautiful riverside through the centre of Berlin. There are nice restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhood as well as a post office, two supermarkets, a newsstand, flower shops and two subway stations, a train station (with four S-Bahn lines) and four buses. One bus goes directly to the Central station. The apartment The apartment is a 124 square metres (1345 sq.ft) duplex apartment in a 19th-century residential building. It is situated in the yard and is totally quiet with no traffic noise at all. On the ground floor, there is the entrance floor, a bathroom with shower and toilet, the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, as well as a storage room. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher and cutlery for 12 persons. The dining room is equipped with a dinner table and chairs for 10 persons. On the first floor there is a bathroom with a tube and a toilet as well as a washing machine, a storage room, and three bedrooms: one bedroom with a double bed 180 cm x 200 cm, a second bed room with two single beds 90 cm x 200 cm and a third one with a double bed 140 cm x 200 cm. Each bedroom is equipped with a desk for working or studying. The apartment is decorated with 35 original paintings and drawings by Italian, Russian and German artists as well as three big and three small chandeliers. The floor is new oak parquet in all rooms, storages and the upper floor and marble in the entrance floor and the bathrooms. There is Wifi in all rooms, a TV set (32 inch LCD full-HD, DVB-T/-C), a DVD player, a hifi system and a separate radio. A household contents insurance is included in the rental price for the entire period. English, Russian, French and German spoken....
