The large Studio lies in the 6th floor of the Akademiehof, a modern and secure apartment-building, which has been erected in 1996 and designed by Viennese star architects Gustav Peichl and Roland Rainer. The apartment is 65 m2 in size and consists of an anteroom, a living room woth a kitchen corner, a bathroom, a separate toilet and a storage room. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning and electric blinds. In the loft-like living room there is a double bed (160 x 200 cm in size) as well as a couch, which can optionally be transformed into an additional bed (140 x 200 cm in size). Furthermore the living room is equipped with a large wooden dining table with chairs and a TV set. A large panorama window offers a breathtaking view of the Academy of Fine Arts. The kitchen corner is equipped with a a stove with an oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator with a freezer, a fume hood and an electric kettle. There is sufficient dinnerware and cookware. In the bathroom there is a bathtub, a washing basin and a washing machine. Towels will be provided as well. The WC is in a separate room. This building is ideally situated to explore the city of Vienna. Akademiehof lies near State Opera within the centrally located first district of Vienna and thus makes the perfect base to reach many of Vienna's attractions, such as the imperial castle (Hofburg), the Spanish Riding School, St. Stephens Cathedral, St. Charles Cathedral, aswell as several museums such as Museumsquartier, the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of Art History or the Albertina on foot. The famous Naschmarkt is only a few steps away. You can also reach several supermarkets, cafés and restaurants within a few minutes on foot. The Ring boulevard, where the State Opera, the Imperial Castle, the House of Parliament and the Town Hall are situated is right at your doorstep. And the central pedestrian shopping areas are just a stone's throw away. You can't stay anywhere better and closer to the center in Vienna. The connection to public transportation is excellent. There is access to a major subway station where 3 lines intersect directly in the ground floor of the building. There you can take the lines U1, U2 and U4 in either direction. Also several tramway and buslines stop at either the Opera or Karlsplatz, both of which are just around the corner. Thus you can reach any interesting point in town within 30 minutes....
