It is ideal if you want to visit the city without renting a car since you can walk to the most important highlights of the center, take the metro to other areas of Athens or Piraeus port or even take the tram to go to Alimos beach (6km). The Acropolis museum, the Acropolis, Plaka district, Monastiraki and Syntagma square and many other historic antiquities are only a few minutes walk away. Koukaki neighborhood in Athens voted as one of the top emerging places around the globe, to visit in 2016! It is a safe area to stay in the centre of Athens and ideal if you want to visit Athens on foot since all the important historic sites like Ancient Agora, Temple of Zeus, Acropolis museum, Plaka district, Monastiraki square, Syntagma square and other historical and cultural monuments are really close.
