Located on the 1st floor (without elevator, 30 steps) of a historic building in the city center, this apartment is in a strategic, as well as an exclusive context. It is just a short walk from Piazza Maggiore and in the immediate vicinity of the most famous monuments of Bologna. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and are provided with bed linens and towels. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the apartment to explain how everything works and to hand over the keys. During your stay, our staff is available to address any requests or concerns. This magnificent 2 bedroom apartment of about 110 sqm was completely renovated in March 2018 and is equipped with high-end finishes such as the latest generation of anti-noise windows, air conditioning, natural wood parquet flooring, exposed beams, doors with original glass from the 1900s, romantic plaster stucco on the walls and ceilings, as well as a fast fiber optic internet connection. The large 32” Smart TV allows you to connect to your Netflix account. A Bluetooth speaker completes the entertainment equipment so you can listen to music in high definition. The apartment opens up onto a cozy and spacious living room where the modern nuances chosen for the walls, the splendid antique furniture, and the vintage paintings create a classic and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for refreshing oneself after a day of work or exploring the city. The furniture includes a 3-person sofa that converts into a double bed, 2 comfortable armchairs, and a round wooden table for up to 6 guests. Just behind the area dedicated to relaxation and entertainment, there is the kitchen, conveniently separated from the living room by custom-made furniture. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, capsule coffee machine, toaster, electric oven, microwave, and gas stove and is characterized by light wall units in Provençal style. The sleeping area is separated from the living room by a corridor leading to the 2 bedrooms. Both bedrooms overlook a quiet internal courtyard. The master bedroom is furnished in art Deco style with a comfortable double bed (160 x 200 cm) from the early 1900s and a large closet. There is also a second bedroom, equipped with 2 single beds (80 x 200 cm) that can be joined on request, and a wardrobe with a coordinated chest of drawers. The apartment has 2 modern bathrooms and is finished with designer ceramics. The m(hidden)athroom has access from the corridor of the sleeping area and is equipped with a large glass shower, while the second is located just to the side and is also equipped with a spacious shower. Amenities: - Nescaffé coffee machine (capsules not included) and toaster - High speed fiber optic internet (30MB download) with Wi-Fi connection - Washing machine, drying rack, iron, and ironing board - Independent heating and air conditioning with splits in all rooms - 32” Smart TV in the living room - Bluetooth speaker - No smoking This apartment is located in an enviable position, just a short walk from the heart of Bologna’s historic city center. It is in an optimal location to allow guests to explore the city on foot. Within a short walk you can reach all the most interesting monuments of the center, as well as numerous art exhibitions and the most renowned restaurants. The rental price includes the initial and the final cleaning, the rent, the condominium expenses, Italian taxes (television and garbage), WiFi internet and bills. For electricity and gas, in particular, we include a forfait of € 120 per month. Only if you exceed this forfait, you would have to pay the difference. Area: The apartment is located in a stately context, in the heart of Bologna’s historic center, in a historic building a stone’s throw from Piazza Maggiore and all the most important monuments of the city. The apartment is located near the lively Mercato delle Erbe, a short walk from Palazzo Ghisilardi, home of the Medieval Civic Museum of Bologna. A walk through the center will lead you to discover points of great historical and artistic interest, such as the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, the famous Teatro dell’Opera Comunale, the characteristic Jewish ghetto, the Garisenda tower and the Asinelli tower (just 2 minutes on foot). Via dell’Indipendenza, the most famous shopping street in Bologna, is about 200 m. away. The quadrilateral of alleys next to Piazza Maggiore with its center on Via Pescherie Vecchie, with all its food and wine shops, is also very close by. Public transportation: Along adjacent Via Indipendenza you can take the bus to reach the train station, or the fair. Parking: The apartment is located within the limited traffic area (ZTL) and an access ticket is requested. You may park in the street, on the places indicated with blue stripes, free of charge on Sundays and every night from 20:00 to 8:00; and upon payment (red parking meter) during the day. There's also a parking lot in Piazza Roosevelt which is about 2 minutes walk from the apartment. The hourly parking cost is € 2.40 and from 7:00 pm to 8:00 am is free. The nearest private garage is in Piazza Galileo 5. There is the possibility of monthly passes, prices on request. Here you may also fill a form to get access to the restricted traffic area. Alternatively you can park at the garage RIVA RENO at a cost of € 18 per day, monthly subscriptions are € 165. Information on driving in the center of Bologna: For guests staying for a short time, the local government admits entry to the city centre by car for only 4 consecutive days in the course of a month ( € 15,00 ), or 3 non-consecutive days ( € 6,00 each day ). Important: guests are required to pay a tourist tax that is not included in the price. € 4,60 person, per night. It is applied only to the first 5 nights.
