Property: 80 m²

Description

Are you a new female student in Rotterdam? And would you like to share this adventure with two female roommates, living together as a little family? This means that you motivate and support each other in your studies, shop, prepare and eat meals together, chill together and engage in social activities together (cinema, shopping, sports, going out, city trips (Amsterdam, Utrecht, Brugge), and perhaps even organize vacation together). And when one of you is going through a rough patch, the others are there for support. Of course, you also have your own bedroom where you can study quietly or retreat if you want privacy. If this is not what you are looking for, then this apartment is not suitable for you. If, on the other hand, you do recognize yourself in this description, then we invite you kindly to continue reading. The apartment is a beautiful apartment in a 1930’s protected building (a so-called monument). Great location, just 200m from Kralingse Plas (lake) and park (great for running and other activities). Area is very popular among students. Close to University, lots of shops, restaurants and close to city center and highway. Public transport is just a short walk away. Erasmus University is only a 10 minute bike ride (2.6 km) away. Two of the current occupants have been living there for two years now. The third occupant is finishing her studies and will be leaving in September 2024. Her bedroom (on the east (back) side of the building) will become available. The apartment is leased under one contract and each “family” member contributes her part of the rent, utility charges and household costs. The pictures are of the room on the back side (east side) of the building. This room will become available as of September 30, 2024 (perhaps earlier). You can find pictures of the other two rooms in the listings of these rooms (or we can send them to you). Registration with the Rotterdam municipality is allowed. The apartment has three separate bedrooms with a shared bathroom and a separate shared toilet. There is an open kitchen/dining area (incl. washing machine and dishwasher). The total apartment space is 80 m2 (there is storage for bikes etc. in (hidden)ment). As of August 2024 the monthly contribution for the third member of the “family” will be €1.095. Prices include rent, incl. technical upkeep of the apartment, introduction to Rotterdam, introduction to living in the Netherlands, point of contact for family/parents, coaching in terms of living away from home in a foreign country, study advice, thesis advice, municipal levies and building association fees. Prices include €170 for furniture, furnishings, bedlinen, towels and fully equipped kitchen. Prices also include €90 as advance for utilities and internet, to be settled based on actual use. The apartment is modern and the rooms are fully furnished for use as a student room. The apartment was recently upgraded and refurbished in order to rent out to a small family of max three students (i.e., you will share the apartment with two flat mates, but each tenant has her own room). Visits or online viewings can be organized based on your wishes. Please note that the floor plan is the original floor plan (how we bought it); this has been slightly altered in the meantime (we enlarged the kitchen by adding the small room next to it and we turned the shower around, to provide access from the main hallway). We strive to provide well furnished rooms for a reasonable price, in traditional pre-war apartments in the nicest neighborhood of Rotterdam (Kralingen), close to the University, so that it is easy for you to feel to feel safe and at home. And at the same time, you will feel part of the Dutch student community. If anything is missing in the apartment, tenants simply ask us if they can order it, and we typically agree to reimburse them for the cost. We hope that we can help you find a comfortable place to live in Rotterdam Kralingen!...

How to book this property

When you find a property you like it's fairly simple to make a booking. Both the tenant and the landlord need to confirm before completing a booking. This is how it works:

  1. Select your dates to check for availability.
  2. If you don't have a subscription yet, you can buy one in a few clicks.
  3. Contact the landlord by clicking on the contact button.
  4. Introduce yourself to the landlord. Ask any questions you might have.
  5. When you are ready to book, send a booking request.
  6. When the landlord approves and the payment is completed, you have successfully booked the property.

You don’t need to perform a viewing on HousingAnywhere, here's why:

  1. All of the properties on HousingAnywhere have pictures and a clear description. If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the landlord.
  2. Restricting viewings provides equal chances for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad.
  3. HousingAnywhere makes sure the property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the landlord after you have successfully moved in.
After you have made a booking, the contact details of the landlord will be shared with you. You can get in touch with the landlord directly, or keep using the HousingAnywhere chat. All the successive rental costs can be paid securely through HousingAnywhere.
