Hello! We’re a fun-loving couple with a passion for good food, (hidden)ploration, music and a whole lot more! We first met in Germany and started our relationship 6 years after while we traveled through Spain. Our relationship has spanned the globe and in 2013 we moved from Asia to Detroit after falling in love with the city and its amazing people, beautiful architecture and vibrant history. We’re currently renovating a 1920s mansion turned nursing home in one of Detroit's best up-and-coming neighborhoods. Renting out the units fund our continuing renovation work. Being travelers ourselves, we love to visit new places, meet friendly and fascinating people, and experience cultures and cuisines from around the world :) Now joint by our little one James, we, as a family, are happy to welcome visitors from all over the world. WHAT BROUGHT US HERE After driving through Detroit in 2013 we fell in love with the city and its people so we decided to move here. Since 2013 we have been busy saving old houses, removing them from the "demo list" and helping to bring them back to life. We scouted literally every neighborhood in Detroit when we first arrived and we chose this particular neighborhood because of its rich history, great neighbors, and its outstanding natural resources. Convenient river access and proximity to nearby parks makes the location hard to beat and it's really one of the most under-appreciated neighborhoods in the city.
