With approximately 27,000 students, the Saxion University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest institutions of higher learning in the Netherlands. These associations are definitely worth your participation if nothing else but to build a network of study partners and friends. You can get to know others in the same field, and you can even voice your concerns regarding the courses and your learning environment.

ESN Twente: This is one of the most well-known associations for incoming international students. ESN Netherlands even has locations all throughout the country, making it easy to meet even more people, and Enschede has a large local branch as well.
AIESEC Twente: Similar to ESN, AIESEC Twente is the local branch of AIESEC Netherlands. This association also provides support and activities for exchange students.
IAESTE Twente: Also part of a larger network, this local branch focuses on introducing students to local businesses and organizations. They also arrange social activities to encourage communication.
AEGEE-Enschede: A local branch of AEGEE Netherlands, this international association helps to provide empowering tools for students to utilize in building their futures.
