Hi, I’m Lydia.
I’m living with my husband Francesco in a beautiful historic house built in 1903 in Utrecht. We have five children, all living on their own and 4 of them very nearby.
We are both working 4 days a week. We ride on our bikes the 10-12 km to our offices.
We have a small electrical boat to sail through the canals on sunny days. We share the boat and our car with the kids. Of course they love to use it all!
In the summer we like to camp in Italy or France.
Sometimes I’m WFH, but still we have a lot of space with the two of us. Therefor we rent out the loft apartment, always for a long term stay. A lot of expats live in our neighborhood. It’s close by the center, the university, restaurants, etc. Most expats loves this just the same as we do.
We lived most of our live in or around Utrecht. We love it. Utrecht is cosy, really beautiful, typical Dutch with all the canals, and very comfortable to live: nearly everyone speaks English and we live in the safest neighborhood of Utrecht.
And if you wanna go to Amsterdam, it’s only a 7 min bike ride (or bus) and 20 min. by train
