Located in the most typical and genuine area of Lisbon, one of the oldest (hidden) in Lisbon this amazing apartment is a great choice for your visit. This one-bedroom apartment is set on a ground floor of a building in Alfama. There are a few steps to get inside the apartment so it is not suitable for people with low mobility. It's a cosy apartment with a small balcony facing the roofs of the other buildings therefore very quiet. It has a living room with a dining area that sits four people comfortably and a sofa bed suitable for two children or one adult. The kitchenette is fully equipped for you to prepare your meals and you have AC and Wi-fi throughout to make your stay more comfortable. This apartment is situated in Alfama, the oldest district of Lisboa where many excellent Fado restaurant and traditional cafés and shops are located. The apartment building is easily accessible by public transport and cars or taxis can stop right outside the front door, although only to drop off bags or suitcases. Parking here isn't easy, but just 5 minutes walk away there is a public carpark by the riverfront which costs less than 8 euros per day. The Santa Apolonia metro and the train station is just 5 minutes walk away for those who wish to take public transport, and inside this station, there is a convenient "Pingo Doce" supermarket open 7 days a week, from 9 am to 9 pm. The famous Feira da Ladra is a local flea market held on Tuesdays & Saturdays just 300 meters up the street, and the magnificent dome of the National Pantheon looms large 2 minutes away. Almost next to the apartment building, there is a quality restaurant called Faz Figura, and there are small cafés and restaurants wherever your feet take you in this area. There are plenty of small cobbled streets to discover, with sights like the Fado Museum almost around every corner - we recommend you discover the area on foot and walk up to the castle which is just 15 minutes away, or all the way to the centre which is reachable in less than 20 minutes. Taxis and buses are available everywhere, and it's just a short walk to the stops of the famous 28 tram. A late check-in fee of 30€ will be charged in cash on the spot for arrivals between 10 pm and midnight, 40€ for check-ins between midnight and 2 am and 50€ after 2 am Please be aware that HousingAnywhere is an online booking platform.
