The apartment is located on the main street of the Nieuw Zuid neighborhood, one of Amsterdam’s upscale neighborhoods. Parking space: nearly always available. It’s just a few minutes by bike from the bustling De Pijp neighborhood and 10 minutes from the Museumplein. The apartment features a marble entrance hall and an antique elevator (one of the few elevators in the area). The apartment (studio) is small (27 m2). It features 1 living/sleeping room and 1 kitchen/shower. Toilet is shared, shower is private. It is not luxurious: more romantic. There are cupboards. You can do some small washing of clothing. The apartment is furnished. The couples that have lived here invariably chose to sleep on the -very- large couch but we can provide a mattress if you like. You can use your own linen or we can provide that (no extra cost) Television: we don’t watch TV, but if you’d like one, we can arrange it. The balcony faces south, so it gets sun for the larger part of the day. Both the neighborhood and the neighbors are civilized and friendly. Pets: by arrangement. Kid: no problem! The landlord is a doctor and lives in the same building, which is convenient should any questions or practical issues arise. This rental is an experiment: that’s why the maximum rental period is one month. If both parties are satisfied, an extension is of course negotiable. RENTAL PERIOD: 8 AUGUST-7 SEPTEMBER.
