Posting a room is done within minutes and completely free. All we need is some photos and basic information on your listing. The more you can tell, the better!

Listings are only shown once you are verified. Verification can either be done with your university email address or by phone.
Once you’re verified, listings are visible to everyone on HousingAnywhere. Only registered users can respond to your listing.
After posting your room will receive messages from potential tenants. Chat to get to know each other and to agree on the terms
It all starts with one message that people will send to you. So, be sure to read those messages carefully. Tenants often want to get to know the advertiser of the room and sometimes have additional questions about the room and its availability. People also put a lot of effort into writing those messages trying to provide you with an important information to make the choice easier. Don't let those messages dust in your inbox - review them. If you are sure that someone will not fit - say it right away, so that people know that they need to look further.
There are multiple ways to get your room higher in our rankings and therefore more in the spotlight. Completing your profile is one, but also make sure to have pictures and to have a fast response time when you receive a message.
Once you have found the tenant you like, it is time to accept this person as your preferred tenant and to complete the booking.
The tenant can either make a booking request that can be accepted by you, or you can invite a tenant to book the room. In either case the tenant will transfer the money to HousingAnywhere – which will be transferred to you a few days after the tenant moves in. Make sure your payout methods are up to date.
Booking is all about trust and safety. Once the booking is made, you are certain that you will receive your first month’s rent. If you want to list more rooms or rent out your room another time, we will also reward you by placing your room(s) higher in our search results.
After booking, all you need to do is sit back and relax. Once the tenant has moved in, the money will be transferred to your account.
After moving in, a tenant has 48 hours to report whether a room is not as communicated on HousingAnywhere. If no complaints received, the payment will be initiated by HousingAnywhere, which can take up to 3-5 business days, depending on the speed of your bank. The first month’s rent can therefore be expected within a week of the tenant moving in.
