Hereby a description of the furnished room (that is located on the first floor): The length is 5 meters and the widest part is 4.20 by 2.80 meters (total surface is 17,5 m2). Besides the usual furniture - bed, desk, chairs, cupboard, table -, there is also a modest kitchen place: a sink, two electric boiling points, a microwave/oven and a refrigerator with freeze compartment. Of course there are cups, plates, cutlery and kitchen-utensils. There is internet access and once every two weeks you will receive clean linen (bedclothes, towels, tea- and kitchen towels). You will share the bathroom and the toilet with me -the only inhabitant of the house (female). This spacious room with four windows is situated in the district ‘Morskwartier’, close to the academic hospital and the Science park. You can walk within 10 minutes to the Central Station Leiden and to the centre of Leiden within 15 minutes. The nearby bus stop can also bring you to the station and to the centre of the city. The rent is 450,- euro a month only, this includes gas, electricity, water and the clean laundry (as described above). Signing a contract regarding the conditions as described above is required and this needs to include a confirmation about your stay from the University or employer. Upon arrival you will need to pay a deposit of 450 euro's. This room is a nice starting point for your long term stay in Leiden, since it’s rented for a maximum of 9 months only.
