The Casinha da Pena is in the village of Pedreira, 5km from the Templar city of Tomar. The name drift from the fact that it is two steps away from the viewpoint of Pena, overlooking the Nabão Valley. It is an old country house, recovered, having been returned to the traces and character of erstwhile. The cozy courtyard and the several stone details that give it authenticity stands out. Leaving Tomar and following the Estrada do Prado, skirting the banks of the Rio Nabão, you arrive at the picturesque village of Pedreira, whose name derives from the fact that it is here that some of the stones that helped to build the Convento de Cristo (heritage world) in Tomar. It is comfortably furnished and decorated in a typical Portuguese style. The atmosphere is quiet and privat as Casinha da Pena is completely independent. The proximity to the hosts' house (Casarão do Largo da Eira), which is at the opposite end of the small village, allows you to enjoy the large swimming pool (L 14m x W 5mx P from 1m to 2m gradually) and changing rooms if you wish. It's composed by: • Courtyard with dining table for 6 people, support cabinet, electric grill, small electric stove, crockery, glasses, cutlery, tablecloth, countertop, dishwasher, springs, drying rack and cleaning accessories • Living room with sofa bed, 2 maples, glassware, coffee tables, console, flat screen TV, wifi and table games; • Fully equipped kitchen (freezer, washing machine, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, magic wand, electric coffee maker (water), pressure coffee maker (coffee), cookware, frying pans, oven trays, molds, crockery, cutlery, towels, kitchen accessories, recycling bin; • Quarto da Bica (12 m2, ground floor) with double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, chair, bed linen; • Quarto do Prado (16 m2, on the 1st floor) with double bed, bedside tables, large wardrobe, armchair and bed linen; • Wc in the R/C, common to the two rooms. With bath, toilet, bidet, wardrobe, towels, hairdryer, toilet paper and stool. Possibility of requesting an extra bed – somersault, for a child under 12 years old. Total house capacity: 4 adults. Possibility to request a laundry service (ironing not included). Cleaning: every 3 days and/or SOS, change of towels and bed linen weekly and/or SOS Safety: the house has a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, the pool has a lifebuoy and careful cleaning is carried out on the way out of the guests. Given the depth of the pool, young children or those who do not know how to swim are recommended to use armbands and permanent supervision by an adult. Tomar, a historic city so close by, has unmissable points of interest: the Castle and the Convento de Cristo with its emblematic Janela do Capitulo, Mata dos 7 Montes, the Fósforos museum, the Contemporary Art Museum, the Cultural Complex and the Levada Museum. , Synagogue (national monument), churches, Mouchão garden, kayak tours in Nabão, Pegões Aqueduct, restaurants, terraces and the entire cultural and event agenda (exhibitions, Festa dos Tabuleiros, Medieval Fair, concerts...).
