Dear you, I'm the owner of a family home. Originally I was sharing it with a close friend, but they've moved out so I am now looking to share it with someone new. # Property Private spaces: two rooms, one 13m2 and another 12m2. Previously the first was used as a bedroom and the second as an office. Shared spaces: a 15m garden and 90m of shared indoor space, among which a living room of 34m2, a 8m2 kitchen, a 7m2 guest-room, a roomy bathroom with toilet, a second toilet, and an 8m open space, next to one of your rooms, that you are free to furnish and use. The open space could be used for placing a drawing table, a painting easel, a mediation space, 3D printer, a boxing bag, or whatever you think of. Amenities: high-end kitchen and bathroom in a well maintained house built in 2014; an amazing cleaning lady comes every two weeks; there is a large dining table suitable for boardgames; a piano and guitar; a home cinema setup that'll make a couch potato out of a gold medalist; 1Gb/s internet; a guest-room with a two person bed and a little working desk; usable for friends and family; an inflatable kayak for 2, and an inflatable SUP (which also fits 2!). # What am I looking for in a flatmate? - Share some chores such as tending the garden and buying toilet paper. - Feel comfortable living around each other, to share humor and some interests. - Occasionally cook for each other, share lunch or share breaks if working from home. # Who am I? My biggest hobbies are (outdoor) rock climbing and bouldering; partner dancing, mostly Lindyhop, Blues and Fusion, but I enjoy trying new dances; and playing games, both tabletop (7 wonders, Codenames, Chess-likes, Twilight Imperium (just kidding)) and digital (Portal, SpaceChem, Starcraft). My newest hobby is doing improv comedy. I like sports and I've dabbled a little in acrobatics and roller blading, and would like to try paragliding, surfing and a ball sport like tennis or padel. I work at a research department in a private company, developing a programming language called Dafny that promises to help makes software around the world safer, which I enjoy tremendously. If you're interested in some of my hobbies, I'd love to teach them. # Rent and rental period The rent is up for discussion. I expect it to be somewhere between 700 and 1200, all inclusive. I would like to have a rent that balances both being fair to me and allowing you to live well. If you are a high earner, the rent should be at market price, but if you are let's say doing a PhD then a lower rent may be better. I do not have a fixed rental period in mind. Because I am also living in the house, Dutch law states that the probationary period of the rental contract can be up to 9 months (instead of the regular 6 months), with a notice period of three months. # How to apply? This advert gets a lot of responses. Please respect the time of both of us by only applying if you meet the specified tenant requirements (1 person, 24-38 years of age, working). Write me a few paragraphs about yourself and why you'd like to live with me...
