The upper main road with bars, shops, restaurants and bus stops is just a 15-minute walk away and so is the lovely Selmun Palace, with a hiking area and the Punic tombs to explore. A small pebble beach is also nearby (a 10-minute walk) to enjoy the Mediterranean sea at your leisure. The famous Għadira Bay and Golden Bay beaches are between a 6-12 minute drive from here, and out of the two, Għadira is especially welcoming to families with numerous beach facilities and shallow waters for carefree swimming with your little ones. Another site worth visiting is the picturesque Popeye Village perched on the craggy edges of the island and located just a 10-minutes drive from here. Meanwhile, nature lovers can make their way to the unique topography of Malta’s bird Park, where they will find the combination of a wetland and salt marsh, as well as many opportunities to bird watch.
