Sint-Anna Linkeroever is the Antwerp district on the left bank of the Schelde. The Sint-Annatunnel (pedestrian tunnel) connects the left bank with the city center for pedestrians and cyclists. On Linkeroever there also is a pre-metro station Frederik van Eeden, which is connected to the city center. Further connections between the two city banks are the Waasland Tunnel, the Kennedytunnel ferryboat(free) and the waterbus. The Kennedytunnel also has a bike tunnel next to a car and train section. Linkeroever is known to have a more tranquil atmosphere with a park and skatepark, outside fitness, bowling, e-carting, forest (Sint Annabos) and beach (St. Annastrand), and a destination for sport enthusiasts with a nearby runningtrack with wakeboard lane at the Galgeweel and outdoor swimming pool.
