If you want to unpack your luggage, there is plenty of storage space. Close to the apartment, you can find tram 31 (11 minutes to Ringstraße - the boulevard surrounding the historic center), metro U4 (3 stops to Schwedenplatz), metro U6 (connection to Westbahnhof), and tram 5 (12 minutes to Prater - the big historic amusement park).
