Nearby Bellecour is the most famous square in Lyon which offers stunning views of the Fourvière basilica. This, and the numerous historical monuments dating from the Middle-Ages (abbeys, churches, listed buildings...) make it an ideal neighbourhood to explore by simply letting your feet guide you through the streets. Otherwise, Perrache train station is one of Lyon's main transport hubs with the subway, trams and several bus routes all connecting there.
