Our apartment is located in Vicolo Lavandai, one of the most fascinating panoramas of Milan, in the pedestrian area of Navigli. Quiet and welcoming, it takes just a few minutes on foot to reach the metro station (400 meters) and in just 20 minutes on foot, you can reach all the attractions of the city center. Home to the Salone del Mobile and nightlife, Alzaia Naviglio Grande is also one of the most historic districts of Milan. Our apartment has a uniquely calm and bright atmosphere thanks to the two courtyards that surround it and the splendid view of Vicolo Lavandai. We will provide you with a comfortable double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table and all the comforts: air conditioning, Wi-Fi, soft towels and cotton sheets. Plus there is a welcome kit waiting on your arrival. All the attractions of the city center are within walking distance, but it is also well connected by public transport, 20 minutes from Milan central station with the green metro, one hour from Bergamo Orio al Serio, 1.5 hours from Malpensa airport and only 20 minutes from Linate airport by taxi. In Milan, there are corners with unexpected wonders. Vicolo Lavandai recalls, with a touch of nostalgia, a city with a romantic flavour. On the Naviglio Grande, near the Darsena di Porta Ticinese, the historic alley takes its name from an ancient washhouse that still exists, where many women washed the laundry of the Milanese until the 1950s. The narrow streets, the Naviglio, and the places characterized by different styles, eras and destinations make this part of the city unique and particularly fascinating. Today the premises of the old grocery store that sold soaps and bleach to the women employed in the wash house house a typical restaurant which, with its chimneys and coffered ceilings, has kept the atmosphere of the place intact. Darsena and Alzaia Naviglio Grande are populated by the restaurants and nightclubs most loved by the Milanese, typical Italian restaurants, trendy bars and street food stalls. Naviglio Grande, once the most important transport route through the city, is one of the liveliest areas of the city, home to delightful restaurants, independent cafes and outstanding art galleries promoting local talent. This is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the sunset over the city of Milan while enjoying an aperitif in one of the many trendy bars.
