Your room: Last year the room was renovated. It is quite spacious and it has a wide angled view over Utrecht. The room comes with everything (all the equipment) that is needed in order to study. The room includes towels and bedding. Lastly, there is also a balcony connected to the kitchen. Apartment: This newly renovated apartment is an attractive place to live in, as it is basically maintenance-free. The apartments’ interior is a combination of vintage, classical and modern elements that work together and combine harmoniously to form an inviting home. When you enter the apartment, you will be able to hang your coat in the hallway. On your right, you will find the kitchen where all the kitchenware and equipment, such as an oven, microwave, large fridge and an induction hob, are intended for your use only. In here you will also find the washing machine. If you walk straight-ahead, you will see the balcony on your right side and the bathroom entrance as well. And Lastly, the living room: which is a spacious area where you can relax on the couch with other roommates and watch TV, which, of course, includes Netflix. Location: The apartment is located in Utrecht Overvecht, and it is only a 5minute walk away from the shopping center ‘Overkapel’. Here you fill find two supermarkets, a bank and other retail stores. The location is easily accessible by public transport, as it is only a 15minute bike or bus ride away from the city center (of Utrecht). And it is 20minutes away from ‘Utrecht science park’. Shared responsibility: We have a shared responsibility regarding the residence’s maintenance. We deliver a clean room with all the furniture you need, therefore we expect you to handle this with care. Once a week, a cleaning service will stop by to take care of the regular cleaning tasks in the common areas. We do this because we are aware of the fact that you are rather busy doing other things in this wonderful country and we want to make sure that we keep up with our high standards inside the residences. However, you do need to take out the garbage, do the dishwashing and maintain your own room. Finance: The price includes: gas, water, electricity, Internet, Netflix (if available), weekly cleaning and city hall taxes. Please be aware there will be a one-time fee of €250 for the entire stay. Check in/out date: as stated in the contract, the rental period starts either on the 1st day of the month or on the 15th (2nd half) of the month. This means that if you, for example, book a room for the 3rd of February onwards, your contract will start on the 1st of February. By all means, the tenant may move in on the starting date of the lease. The monthly rental fee includes (fixed) advance payments for water, gas and electricity charges. If you do not overuse the electricity, then you will not have to pay extra. However, if the consumption of energy is higher than the standard, then you will be responsible for the additional fee. Also, if you choose to pay the rent six months in advance, you will get two weeks for free. Additionally, if you choose to pay the rent one year in advance, you get a whole month for free!
