The room is fully soundproofed, with quadruple-glazed windows and solid wood doors ensuring quietness and privacy. The room includes ample storage space with a personal wardrobe and shelving, as well as access to a fully equipped shared kitchen, a dining area, a sunny balcony, laundry facilities, and individual storage for your groceries and deliveries. Alex (Ilona's husband) underwent a double lung transplant and is on lifelong immunosuppressive medication, meaning we take exceptional care in maintaining a spotlessly clean, healthy, and quiet environment: • Strict hygiene protocols: Shoes are always removed in the entrance area, and we wear indoor slippers or walk barefoot (the floors are heated for comfort). Every surface is regularly and thoroughly cleaned to maintain the healthiest possible environment. • Excellent air quality: Living in the hills, we benefit from clean air and a refreshing breeze. When necessary, we also run HEPA-grade air purifiers to ensure optimal indoor air quality. • Collaborative space: We occasionally host transplant patients on hospital waiting lists or families of patients receiving care at Vall d'Hebron Hospital, which is nearby. • No smoking policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the property, including balconies. If you smoke — even occasionally — we kindly ask you to consider alternative accommodations. • Quiet home ethos: We value peace and quiet. Our home is an oasis of calm in Barcelona, surrounded by greenery and birdsong. We look for guests who similarly appreciate and contribute to this serene atmosphere. • No TV in rooms by default: To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, rooms come without a TV. We are happy to provide one upon request, including access to Netflix, Prime Video, and other platforms, with the understanding that TVs must be used at low volume or with headphones. We are a warm and welcoming multi-national family who have called Catalonia home for over 20 years, embracing every moment of life as proud Barcelonians. Our children have now spread their wings and study abroad, while we divide our time between our beloved Barcelona home and frequent travels — both for leisure and professional commitments. Our home is a spacious, bright apartment nestled in the peaceful hills of Barcelona, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and easy access to the city's vibrant culture. We are fortunate to live near some of Barcelona's most iconic landmarks, such as the enchanting Parc Güell, the historic Tramvia Blau leading up to Tibidabo, and the popular CosmoCaixa Science Museum, which is perfect for family outings. Countless other attractions are just a short distance away. Connectivity is excellent — you can easily reach us via metro lines L3 (Vallcarca) and L5 (El Coll/La Teixonera), as well as numerous bus routes including 22, 27, V17, V19, N4, N5, and N24. The bustling old town and beaches are just a few metro stops away, while the charming neighborhood of Vila de Gràcia is within walking distance, where you can discover countless restaurants, cozy bars, lively plazas, and pedestrian streets full of life.
