No men, and the room is non-smoking. This room is only available for students (whether they are studying full-time or doing an internship). A spacious room (21m2) near the centre of Leiden; five minutes from the station, across the road from the social sciences building and about ten to fifteen minutes by bicycle from all other university locations (also at walking distance or reachable by public transport). Bicycle parking is available both indoor and outdoor, and there is also parking space for cars available. The room is fully furnished, with a 140x200 bed, table, desk, one desk chair, two regular chairs, television and DVD-player, wardrobe with mirror, one big and one small bookcase, three smaller cabinets and a spare mattress (visible in the photos as 'couch' by the heater). Bathroom, toilet and kitchen are clean and shared with two women. Both other tenants do not smoke, the room itself has not been smoked in and the house has to remain non-smoking. Electricity, gas, heating etc are all included in the rent. What is not included is the shared washing machine (about 9 euro per three months, optional), internet (wireless, about 22 euro per month) and whatever house shopping is needed (think of things like cleaning supplies and toilet paper, which are shared by all tenants in the house). At the moment everything I own is intact and clean, and I would like to keep it that way. To ensure that any possible damage can be covered I will charge a deposit, which you will receive back in full if my room, furniture etc remain clean and undamaged. Furthermore I will charge a small sum of money for the use of my plates, kitchenware, sheets, blankets etc, the exact amount of which will depend on the duration of the temporary tenant's stay. This latter sum will not be refunded. The house is kept very clean and tidy by means of a cleaning roster – every tenant cleans the common spaces once every three weeks. As we'd all like to keep the house clean, it is required that any temporary tenants also adhere to this roster. IMPORTANT: I am renting out my room while I am on exchange, but my return date has not yet been fixed due to the unavailability of the relevant schedules. As such I cannot promise that the end date I have entered here is absolute. I do not expect the variation to be more than a month in either direction, but I cannot be completely certain at this time. However, should I unexpectedly have to come back early I shall make sure to contact you as soon as possible about this, and always no less than a month in advance. This will also be entered into the contract we will make together, so this is absolutely guaranteed.
