The Glasbläserallee bus stop is about a three-minute walk away; Ostkreuz can be reached in one bus stop or in about ten minutes on foot. From there, there are excellent S-Bahn, regional train, and bus connections to all parts of Berlin. An EDEKA supermarket is just a 2-minute walk away, Café Kap Frieda is right around the corner. Around Ostkreuz and the neighboring Friedrichshain neighborhoods / Boxhagener Platz, there are numerous other shopping options, drugstores, cafés, restaurants, and stores.
