The living room is on the ground floor and furnished with a large L shape sofa and smart TV. Notably, this room has original Tudor period windows, a rare feature in a private home. The owners have also installed secondary window glazing, ensuring a quiet, relaxing space. The open-plan kitchen/dining room is located on the second floor, with large terrace doors and a sash window that both open up to make the room feel extraordinarily bright and airy. The dining table can seat up to 8 guests, and the kitchen comes fully equipped, including a microwave, a kettle, a fridge, a coffee press, a toaster, an oven and hobs. Bedrooms and bathrooms This house comfortably sleeps 7 guests. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, large built-in wardrobes, and an ensuite bathroom. There are two large bedrooms with double beds and built-in wardrobes, and one has an ensuite. The fourth bedroom is a box room with a single bed. Hotel-quality linens, towels and bathroom essentials are all provided, as is a hair dryer. There are also amazing bakeries, Ole & Steen and Gail’s, within a stone’s throw. Waitrose Supermarket is across the road, and a Whole Foods Market is within a 5-minute walk. The area offers a wide array of shopping – everything from convenience, luxury clothing, home and paper goods, banks, the post office and a large pharmacy. Sandwiched between two of London’s most spectacular parks, the entrance to Holland Park and the new Design Museum is just 200 meters from the property. A 10-minute walk in the opposite direction will take you to Kensington Palace and Kensington Gardens, beyond which is Hyde Park and the Serpentine Gallery. South Kensington can be walked to in 25 minutes or 15 minutes by public transport for accessing London’s museum triangle of The Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, and The Science Museum. Notting Hill, considered to be one of the most popular districts in London, and also the location of the famous Portobello Market, is a 15-minute walk. High Street Kensington Underground Station is just a 5-minute walk and is on the Circle Line that circulates central London. There are also a multitude of buses that also serve many parts of the capital. So please keep the noise down and respect the neighbours in the building. – Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving. – Careful attention to the keys is extremely important.
