When, at 14 years old, I chose to attend hospitality school, I decided that hospitality, in all its forms, would be the guiding principle of my life. Sixteen years later, eleven of which have been spent working, I am still trying to understand what it truly means to welcome someone. Having always worked in hotels, welcoming someone probably means, to me, 'making them feel at home.'
