Bright, fully furnished 55 m2 one-bedroom apartment in Akademia Platonos, Athens, suitable for one person or a couple seeking a comfortable home for a minimum stay of six months. Situated on the 2nd floor of a quiet residential building (please note: there is no elevator), the apartment is front-facing, receives plenty of natural light, and has two balconies. The apartment includes a welcoming living and dining area with a sofa and table; a separate bedroom with a double bed and storage space; a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, washing machine, cooking facilities (including an induction hob), and essential kitchenware; and a renovated private bathroom with a shower. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are included. Electricity is paid separately (estimated at €60 per month), while water is also paid separately (estimated at €40 every three months). Fibre-optic internet can also be activated in your name, as the socket is installed just outside the door. The location is well connected: a bus stop is a two-minute walk away; Akademia Platonos Park (the historic site of Plato’s Academy, where the new museum of Athens is planned to be built) is about three minutes away; a large supermarket is two minutes away; and additional bus routes are nearby. The building entrance is monitored by a security camera. Ideal for remote workers, couples looking for a move-in-ready home in Athens, digital nomads, or international students. A refundable security deposit of €1,300 is required before the move-in date via this platform (not by cash or bank transfer) to activate our contract. It is returned after check-out and inspection, less any documented unpaid rent or utility bills, or charges for missing keys or tenant-caused damage. The deposit cannot be used as payment for the final month of rent. Please note that electricity needs to be connected in the tenant’s name. This takes approximately one week, as the process must be initiated online or over the phone. To do this, you need to have your government-authorised contract accepted online in advance, as the electricity provider will require it as proof. I can help you with the process and make it as easy as possible for you. An optional deposit of €150 applies only if you would like me to arrange the electricity supply in my name until you transfer it to your name after your arrival. Electricity companies may also require a deposit. Central heating is available, as are air conditioning and additional heating devices. Each winter, the residents of between three and eight apartments in the building—depending on how many are occupied—decide whether to use the central heating or their own air conditioning or electric heating, as they manage the expenses themselves. This is not my individual decision but a collective one, based mainly on what the residents consider more affordable, particularly following the recent rise in energy costs. The internet connection is provided at no additional cost and is a shared 1 Gbps download / 500 Mbps upload fibre-optic connection.
