Duplex apartment characterised by warm and colourful spaces, for a joyful and cosy atmosphere. It is located in the heart of Palermo, in a side street of Via Dante , near Lolli train station. Casetta Basile is a cozy apartment, situated on the first floor of a Liberty-style building from the beginning of the 20th century, that spreads over two levels. On the lower level there is a dining room, decorated with wallpaper with floral patterns in blue tones that match the opposite wall, and furnished with a large wooden table where to enjoy delicious meals. The kitchen comes with a wall table and two stools, and is fully equipped, also with an oven. The bedroom has the same relaxing nuances of blue, fitted with a queen-sized bed, a wardrobe and a dresser. On the same floor you will find a full bathroom with shower tub. Walking up the wooden stairs, you will reach the mezzanine floor where a living area has been created, provided with a comfortable sofa and a TV. Handcrafted furnishings have been inserted in the apartment making it original and unique, as do the particular wooden panels of the stairs or the shelves at both sides of the bed. TV and air conditioning for the hottest Sicilian days complete the apartment. * The house is not equipped with central heating, but with a single heat pump. Our apartment is located in a central area of Palermo, rich in shops (a few steps from the shopping street of Via Dante) and connections with buses to move around or to get to the popular beach of Mondello. Piazza Politeama and Teatro Massimo are at 15 minutes walking distance, while Castello della Zisa and Villa Malfitano only 10. Furthermore, only a few minutes will take our guests to get to Cantieri Culturali della Zisa, a reference point for cultural events, and the elegant Villino Florio. A few steps away from the apartment there is the train station Palermo Lolli, perfect for travelling to the central station of the city.
