Located right in the middle of the tourist area to the west of Funchal, this shopping centre with close to 20,000 m2 of floor space has around 80 shops and a car park with room for 800 vehicles. Forum Madeira is a shopping centre not to be missed due to its modern, airy architecture and its style of galleries on several levels that converge into the central tower on an open plaza. Located on the bustling Estrada Monumental, Fórum Madeira’s 86 shops, around a dozen restaurants, cafés and snack bars, 6 cinema screens and a hypermarket. Featuring an extensive garden area located on the rooftop, this venue offers lovely panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the constant entertainment activities on the main plaza - mainly organised for younger visitors. In this same space during the summer, visitors can enjoy open-air cinema screenings. The closest beach is commonly known as Doca do Cavacas. This small beach complex is located between the Lido and Formosa beach. It can be accessed from the Lido Promenade. To the west of this beach, bracing views can be enjoyed over the highest cape in Europe (Cape Girão) and Formosa Beach. This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation. Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at a minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€. For the first few days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products, and a bin bag. Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys, or service to open the door during your stay). Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
