Housed in a trendy, industrial area, the Duveldok is Tilburg’s favorite studio and arts center, ready for you to explore! Situated in what was once one of the city’s oldest textile mills, it is now a hub for social and cultural events, including lectures, exhibitions, history and contemporary art. You’ll also find the Social Salon and the Social Sofa, both popular amongst university students.

3. St. Jozef Kerk

Built in the 19th century, this church is also right in the center of the city of Tilburg. The great thing about this church is that you can not only photograph it, but you can also go in and look around, as that it has what is called an "open church" policy.

While not quite as conveniently located as the other churches, Heikese Kerk can still be found in the city center. You can still easily walk there from any of the universities.

1. De Efteling

De Efteling is a Dutch amusement park that has been in operation since 1952. While this park is obviously very child-friendly, you’ll find people of all ages having a fun-filled afternoon here. The Fairy Tale Forest is the oldest section of this attraction, but new rides are added each year, making it a true state-of-the-art facility. You’ll also find delicious foods to taste, and you can even spend the night in one of the nearby hotels.

Another plus is that the amusement park is easily accessible by either a car or public transport. Buses run from the train station out to the park, making it easy to have a magical day!

2. Zoo De Oliemeulen

If you like the idea of spending the day with the animals, then this is the zoo for you. You can also expect a few unique differences from other similar attractions, with a host of animals that are not typically exhibited at other zoos. 3. Safaripark Beekse Bergen

One of Tilburg’s most well-known attractions is this thrilling safari park. 3. Tilburg’s Bierfestival

Does an event centered all around beer sounds like an excellent idea? Then count yourself in! You can imbibe from different breweries from all across the Netherlands, and as far away as Belgium and Spain. This is a phenomenal event to really experience the culture of Tilburg!

4. Sleeptouw Festival in de Muzentuin

This event is in its third year, and it is a must for music lovers of any kind. You can expect to hear everything from deep house to techno, so get your dancing shoes on! The following provides information for the 2018 festival:

5. Dancetour Tilburg

• Berlijn Cafe Tilburg

Somewhat of a long walk from the city center in Korvelseweg, you’ll find that this popular bar is worth the extra time to get there. It’s surrounded by supermarkets, coffee shops and unique little stores, putting out a laid-back vibe before you even go inside.

The interior and decor may be somewhat reminiscent of Berlin, but the food is mostly from France, and there are drinks from all over the world. The staff is friendly and will offer a slew of recommendations, especially if you’re undecided. There are also tables outside, making it a great place to people watch.

Because this place is a little low-key, it’s a great bar to go and have a nice conversation with classmates, or a nice establishment to get to know new friends over a round of drinks.

• Little Devil

This is one of the nicest bars in all of Tilburg. It is a bit on the small side, but it offers a pool table and a nice beer selection. The rock theme also adds a hip vibe.

• Doncurado

Doncurado is nestled right along the harbor, which is becoming a very popular place in Tilburg. It’s surrounded by other bars, shops and a handful of restaurants, along with apartments and other residences.

This vibrant, colorful cafe draws a huge crowd, especially over the weekends. The drinks are inexpensively priced, and you’ll surely want to have a snack or two as well.
