EMLYON business school was founded in 1872 by members of Lyon’s business community, which means that it is affiliated with the Lyon Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is unique in that it has triple accreditation: AMBDA, EQUIS by the EFMD, and the AACSB. Its Management program was recently ranked 27th in the world, and its program of Masters in Finance was just ranked 24th in the world, both by the Financial Times.

EMLYON has multiple campuses, including in the cities of:

  • Saint-Étienne

  • Shanghai

  • Casablanca

  • Paris

They also operate the Asia-Europe Business School (AEBS).

Collectively, there are 30 student associations that draw attention to the environment, integration, consulting and dance, among many other interests.

IDRAC Business School

IDRAC Business School is a private school with nine different campuses in France:

  • Amiens
  • Bordeaux
  • Grenoble
  • Lyon
  • Montpellier
  • Nantes *Nice
  • Paris
  • Toulouse

Additionally, there are five associates campuses located throughout Europe:

  • Dublin and Cork in Ireland
  • Brno in Czech Republic
  • Barcelona and Santander in Spain

Internationally, IDRAC Business School has built very strong partnerships with over 100 organizations and institutions in well over 40 countries. Over 200 international students come to study abroad for one or two semesters at the IDRAC Business School.

University of Lyon

With locations in both Lyon and Saint-Étienne, the University of Lyon offers 16 institutions of higher learning. The three main universities are:

  • Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 - has 27,000 students that focus on health and science studies

  • Lumière University Lyon 2 - has 30,000 students that focus on social sciences

  • Jean Moulin University Lyon 3 - has 20,000 students that focus on the humanities and law

Each campus offers dozens of activities, including sporting groups, cultural associations, interest groups, cooking clubs and much more.

Epitech

Epitech is the largest specialized information technology higher education institution in France, as well as one of the most important in all of Europe. Additionally it is part of the IONIS Education Group, with more than 20 schools on 33 different campuses, with 23,500 students. Located in the 3rd arrondissement, it is convenient to public transport and close to shopping, dining and entertainment.

Its 12 campuses in France, with over 20 student associations, are located in:

Student associations

Here are some of the student associations in EM Lyon:

  • Bureau des Arts (BDA): promotes broadcasting culture and arts at the EMLYON Business School, along with all students in Lyon.

  • Dress Code: focuses on international fashion at the EMLYON Business School.

  • I-Link: helps to integrate foreign students into their new lives.

  • Goût'R'Mets: sets up a calendar of events related to gastronomy, such as picnics and themed dinners.

  • Sup’ de Coteaux: focuses on the oenology culture within the school.
